Wooden Labour & Birth Comb | Birth Pain Relief Tool

The wooden birth comb is used for labour and birth to help ease the pain of contractions by using the gate control theory.

How to use: Place the teeth of the comb across your palm, under where the fingers meet the palm of your hand. firmly squeeze the comb during each contraction and release as the contraction subsides.

How it works: Pain signals travel along the nervous system to the brain. The intense pressure from the comb use sends messages to the brain, effectively "closing the gate" to pain signals from the uterus.
